The Taurus 2's invites teams of two, one male and one female to compete in their choice of either Rx, Intermediate or Scaled, in a ONE day competition held @ CrossFit Taurus  Saturday APRIL 15th 2023. Get your buddy sorted you won’t want to miss this!

Things to know...

Registration

Registration is now open!

CrossFit Taurus, 143 Maui street, Pukete, Hamilton

Only one team member is required to be at registration. Please note, teams are required to check in at least 15 minutes prior to their heat (for Event 1) regardless of when they registered

Parking

All participants and spectators are required to park on Maui street. There is to be no parking in the facilities parking area. Also, please do NOT park in the KIA Trailers allocated parks (your car will be towed)

The Base shopping centre is located approx 4km South of CrossFit Taurus and has a number of food and beverage options

The 'Look Out' Bar and Kitchen is approx 3km South behind Flex Fitness

This is a fitness competition, be prepared for anything

Other

Strictly no pets allowed. The body corporate requires that no pets are allowed on the premises. Please pass this on to your supporters. Patrons accompanied by pets will be asked to leave the facility

Division Standards (2023)

Below are guidelines, not necessarily the weights or movements which will be programmed. Weights stated should not be your 1rm lifts. If you’re more often than not, achieving the prescribed standard in your gym, the division is for you.

Scaled

Can perform each of –

  • DL: M70kg/F50kg

  • FS: M50kg/F35kg

  • Snatch: M45kg/F25kg

  • Thruster: M45kg/F25kg

  • Stoh: M45kg/F25kg

  • Clean and Jerk/Push Press

  • Single unders 25+ per minute

  • Wall Ball Shots: M6kg/F3kg

  • Box Step Ups: M24”/F20”

  • Hanging Knee Raises

  • Weighted Lunges

  • Row

  • Bar Facing Burpees (With jump over or step over the bar)

  • Run up to 2km

  • Bear crawl

  • Jumping C2B Pullups: 4-6 consecutive reps

  • Supported Handstand hold: 30sec

At least one person can perform -

  • Toes to rings

  • 1 Pull up

Intermediate

Can perform each of –

  • DL: M100kg/F80kg

  • FS: M65kg/F50kg

  • Snatch: M60kg/F35kg

  • Thruster: M60kg/F35kg

  • Stoh: M55kg/F35kg

  • Clean and Jerk/Push Press

  • Double unders 25+ per minute

  • Wall Ball Shots: M9kg/F6kg

  • Box Jumps: M24”/F20”

  • Toes To Bar

  • Weighted Lunges

  • Row

  • Bar Facing Burpees (With jump over the bar)

  • Run up to 3km

  • Pull Ups: 4-6 consecutive reps

  • CTB pull ups

  • Kipping HSPU

  • 5m Rope climb

At least one person can perform -

  • 1 Bar Muscle Up

  • 1 Pistol

  • Ring Dips: 4-6 consecutive reps

Rx

Can perform each of –

  • DL: M120kg/F90kg

  • FS: M80kg/F65kg

  • Snatch: M70kg/F50kg

  • Thrusters: M70kg/F45kg

  • Stoh: M70kg/F40kg

  • Squat Clean and Jerk

  • Double unders 50+ per minute

  • Wall Ball Shots: M9kg/F6kg

  • Box Jumps: M30”/F24”

  • Overhead Weighted Lunges

  • Row

  • Bar Facing Burpees

  • Run up to 3km

  • C2B Pull Ups: 4 – 6 consecutive reps

  • TTB: 4-6 consecutive reps

  • Bar Muscle Up

  • Pistol

    At least one person can perform -

  • Ring muscle up

  • Strict HSPU

  • 5m Legless Rope climb
